On behalf of the entire RCSD Board of Directors and Staff, I would like to extend our sincere congratulations to all of those involved in the effort to challenge and ultimately prevail in their efforts to prevent the construction of a 30,000 sq. ft. LA Fitness Center in the Shops at Rossmoor Shopping Center in Seal Beach.
We would also like to congratulate those citizens who devoted their time and provided their financial support towards the opposition based on a multitude of concerns involving traffic, safety, pollution, parking and quality of life for those residents in the immediate vicinity of the project.
We commend you on your great volunteer effort to express community concern and override the Seal Beach Planning Commission's approval of the project. Finally, we extend our appreciation to the Seal Beach City Council, who were respectful and sensitive to the concerns of the residents and ultimately voted 3-2 to deny the project.
Best Regards, Tony DeMarco President of the Board Rossmoor Community Services District
